Consultation Terms of Service
By booking and paying for a mentoring consultation with 1st Break Accounting Pty Ltd, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully before confirming your booking.
If you have paid in advance and change your mind, please contact me at least 24 hours before your appointment to arrange a refund. There are no refunds for change of mind if you let me know that you wish to cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice, or once my services have been provided.
Our mentoring sessions are designed to give you general guidance on business financial management. They are not intended to provide accounting, taxation, BAS, ASIC, or other compliance services. If you require detailed or specific tax or compliance advice, we may refer you to engage us (or another qualified professional) under a separate agreement.
We are registered Australian Tax Agents and members of Chartered Accountants ANZ. We follow the Code of Ethics and professional standards issued by the APESB. Please ask us if you require more information about our qualifications and registrations.
The information shared in your session is general in nature. It is not tax, legal, or financial product advice and should not be relied on as such. You remain responsible for all business and financial decisions you make. We recommend you seek independent advice from a qualified professional before acting on any ideas or strategies we discuss. Please note that we will not be conducting an audit or review and cannot guarantee to identify fraud, errors, or irregularities. To the extent permitted by law, our liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid for your session.
These consultations provide general guidance only and do not include a full review of your circumstances or business records. Because of this, they must not be treated as a substitute for specific, tailored professional advice. If you require detailed support in areas such as accounting, tax, or compliance, we may decline to answer your question and instead refer you to a more suitable service. You take full responsibility for the implementation of any actions, strategies, or decisions that flow from the session.
We take your privacy seriously. Any information you share with us will remain confidential, except where we are required to disclose it by law or by our professional bodies. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and our Privacy Policy, which you can view at https://www.1stbreakaccounting.com.au/privacy-policy.
If a potential conflict of interest arises, we will let you know and discuss the best way to handle it. In some cases, this may mean we cannot proceed with the session.
If you are unhappy with the service you receive, please contact Rachel at rachel@1stbreak.com.au so we can address your concerns. You can also raise complaints with Chartered Accountants ANZ or the Tax Practitioners Board if you feel the issue relates to professional conduct.
These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia.
